Raw data is currently being logged from all base stations of the ARTGN and is available free of charge through the ARTGN ftp site.
Go to ftp://artgn1.cabq.gov to retrieve data from the site. Even though it is an ftp site, you can navigate through the site using Windows explorer and do not have to use ftp commands from a DOS window or an FTP utility program.
The data is logged in RINEX 2.1 format as well as the native Topcon format. The current epoch interval is 15 seconds. Other intervals can be arranged upon request. The files are 24 hour datasets broken at midnite UTC. The data contains seven observables: CA code on L1, P Code on L1 and L2, Carrier Phase on L1 and L2 and Doppler shifts on L1 and L2.
Antenna types: Since we have some relatively new types of antennas in the ARTGN, check the antenna type files of your processing software to confirm that your software can apply antenna models for our types of antennas. Information about the type of antenna being used at a particular site can be found by going to the Base Stations - Detailed Info link and by retrieving the monument datasheet for the point from the City's Geodetic Control Data Sheets page.
Base Station Positional Information: Positional data for the base stations can be retrieved from the above mentioned Geodetic Control Data Sheets page. The site parameters; antenna types, site locations, GNSS receiver types etc. can be found at the Base Stations - Detailed Info link.Information about how the base stations were tied to the ground points of the Albuquerque Geodetic Reference System (AGRS) and how both were related to NAD83 can be found at the AGRS Control Survey Report page.
Custom Epoch Intervals: We can arrange specific epoch intervals if a user needs data at an epoch interval other than fifteen seconds. Please contact Cliff Wilkie the Geodetic Surveyor for the City of Albuquerque at 505-768-3609 or Cwilkie@cabq.gov about this. Please give us as much lead time as possible.
Of interest to Trimble users: Trimble has a relatively recent update to their antenna files that now includes the antenna that we use on some of our base stations. Until fairly recently the antenna model for the chokering antenna that we use was not in the Trimble Antenna.ini file so in Trimble Geomatics Office (TGO) you couldn't use an antenna model for static processing from our base stations. The update can be downloaded at: http://www.trimble.com/trimbleconfiguration_ts.asp The new antenna we are using on five of our base stations is the TPS CR.G3 with TPSH. PN 01-044301-01. It is also available now on the NGS antenna calibration page and included in both their absolute and relative antenna model files. It is a choke ring antenna with a semi-hemispherical plastic dome. This antenna model is already available in Topcon Tools. We do not know about software of other manufactures but, we advise checking to confirm that our antenna types are available in the baseline processing software being used.
